CrossFit is one of the most popular ways to get fit and stay fit out there today. It has gotten millions of people active, healthy, and in the best shape of their lives.

It works by focusing on getting the entire body fit through a mix of pull-ups, squats, and a wide array of movements designed to push people to their limits and beyond.

CrossFit times and scores the workouts, which lends itself perfectly to competition, and more than a few people who do CrossFit are a little curious to see how they stack up against others.

Beating your own time is one thing, but rising to the challenge of what others can do is another. It’s no surprise that CrossFit competitions have popped up all across the nation and beyond.

There are competitions for all ages and fitness levels, and prizes vary by the size of the event. These competitions happen during all times of the year, so no matter how busy your schedule, you can find one that works

CrossFit 616 is hosting a partner competition (male, male) (female, female) on Saturday, June 23th. You and your partner will complete four workouts for both RX and Scaled divisions. The cost of this competiton will be $120.00 per team + 7.59 processing fee. Workouts will be posted before the registration deadline. There are 48 spots available and there is no set number of men's, women's, RX or scaled. When you purchase a ticket you will be asked which division your team will be in. Male competitors will receive a t-shirt and female competitors will receive a tank top.

Athletes Unleashed is proud to present the second annual Liberty Games.  We are committed to growing for Western New York a phenomenal fitness competition, and have taken action on that promise for 2018.  This year, The Liberty Games will be held at the Buffalo Bills Field House, the AdPro Training Center.  This premier venue will be a spectacular location for spectators, vendors, and especially our competitors.  Additionally, we have added a fourth division in order to include athletes of all levels.  All WODs will be published by 17 December, so keep an eye out on Sweatworks as well as our social media pages.  Grab your four person fire team and get registered before your division sells out!

RX: RX means you can do a vast majority of named CrossFit workouts as prescribed. Chest to bar pull ups for both men and women. Ground to overhead 135# men or 95# women. Deadlift for reps 225# for men and 155# women. These are working weights, not a 1 rep.

Scaled: Scaled means you scale your workouts often. Events will be a scaled version of the RX division. As a rule of thumb, you should be able get through small sets of pull ups in a WOD and do multiple reps of ground to overhead at 95# men or 65# women and deadlift 185# men or 135# women.

The Omni Open follows the basic structure of the Crossfit Open in that there will be one workout each week, released on the Friday, and this will continue for five weeks from February 23 through March 23. We use the same workouts as the Crossfit Open with adjustments made for the equipment and space available to us, and the general fitness level of our members. It is an individual competition with three divisions of Rx, scaled, and masters (35+) with males and females competing separately.

Every Friday the main WOD programmed will be the Open workout for the week. In each class time, everyone will do the Open workout whether you’ve signed up or not. For the members who have registered for the Omni Open, you will have a judge with you to make sure you are meeting the movement requirements and the correct number of reps laid out for the WOD.

Event Divisions : RX, Scaled, Masters (40+). All co-ed (one male and one female).

Masters Age Requirements :Following the Crossfit Games Competition Rule Book 2018, athletes competing in the Masters Division (40+ years of age) must be born on or before 7/14/78.

Standards :

RX – Athletes should be comfortable with all movements required in the Rx division of the CF Open. Participants should be able to do multiple reps at 135/95 of all barbell movements, however simpler movement (such as cleans or deadlifts) may be heavier. Athletes who make the finals should be ready to do ANY CF movement.

SCALED – Athletes should be comfortable with all Barbell movements at 95/65, as well as movements required in the scaled division of the CF open. Simpler movements, such as cleans or deadlifts, may be heavier.

MASTERS (40+) – Weights will fall in between RX and SCALED, so athletes should be proficient with all barbell movements at 115/75. Participants should also be comfortable with most Rx movements in the CF Open. Simpler movements, such as cleans or deadlifts, may be heavier.

Top 3 teams from each division (Rx, Scaled, Masters) will win prizes.

On a night prior to the Open, our coaches will draft athletes to their teams and announce the results. Teams are assigned a leader, form private facebook groups and begin planning their team t-shirts, spirit award ideas and other fun stuff.

For five consecutive weeks on Saturday mornings, we host the Open in an intramural team format. The event kicks off at 9a and athletes will represent their team. The teams will also earn points for participating in a variety of activities throughout the 5 weeks, in an effort to earn the coveted Affiliate Cup trophy!

CrossFit Endeavor hosts The Arnold Affiliate Gathering competitions at the Arnold Sports Festival. This year they will be in Hall D of the Greater Columbus Convention Center for the second straight year.

2018 competitions include:

Barbells 4 Boobs Charity Event: Join the B4B team at The Arnold this year and help raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. Whether you're a power lifter, kettlebell athlete, strongman(woman), olympic lifter, or weekend gym warrior, we will have a version of the workout for you. Join us for "Grace" which is 30 reps of ground to overhead, but this time with a twist. Pick your implement. You can use a barbell, kettlebells, atlas stones, and more! All entries will be on a donation basis with 100% of the proceeds going to helping women across the country get mammograms! Times and heats TBA

Arnold Classic Scramble: Strategy and strength come together as each team of 5, with at least 2 women, is given only 20 minutes and two barbells to perform a max rep of the snatch and clean & jerk.  Team lift totals are combined to determine the winner based on sinclair standings.  Competition is Friday Heats and Times to be announced.

Affiliate Gathering CrossFit Open: Every year CrossFit HQ hosts The Open. A series of workouts sent out once a week. Thousands upon Thousands of people from across the globe compete in these workouts every year. Heat times and assignments will be announced Feb. 28.

6 Person Co-ed Competition: A unique competition style that was created by Validus Events in 2013.  Each team will be comprised of 3 females and 3 males. Teams will compete in 4-6 events back-to-back ‘Cannonball Run Style.’  Each event will involve a different number of athletes, different skills and lots of strategy. In 2018 we have extended this competition to a 3-day format beginning on Friday.  Top teams after Saturday's events will move on to the Finals Sunday!

4 Person Same Sex Competition: Similar to the 6-person competition but comprised of teams of only FOUR athletes and all of the same gender. Watch these amazing men and women do every exercise we throw at them on Sunday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

A returning highlight of the event, members of Team Some Assembly Required (Team SAR) will compete alongside able-bodied competitors both Saturday and Sunday. Team SAR organizes and prepares teams of adaptive athletes across America to compete in various athletic and sporting events to help athletes gain a sense of confidence, independence and purpose.

With more than 400 athletes, thousands of dollars in cash prizes and the largest growing sport around, this will be a show like no other!
